Kondwani is a research and evaluation specialist with over a decade of experience designing and leading research that turns evidence into practical programme and product decisions. Based in Lusaka, his journey into research began with an early interest in land governance and rural livelihoods, which led him toward data, evaluation, and understanding the stories behind the numbers.
Since then, Kondwani has worked across education, youth economic empowerment, financial inclusion, agriculture, and humanitarian programming across sub-Saharan Africa. He brings extensive experience in mixed-methods research, human-centered and participatory approaches, and working with communities, young people, and programme teams to understand complex problems and translate evidence into actionable insights.
Kondwani holds a BSc in Forestry and a Master's degree in Monitoring and Evaluation. He is particularly interested in using rigorous research and human-centered approaches to better understand what works, for whom, and why.
Outside of work, Kondwani enjoys telling stories through photography and poetry, and spending his weekends farming.
