Amara Pfahl is an Operations and Finance Specialist on YLabs’ Operations and Finance team. Since joining the organization in 2017, she has held multiple roles including Program Coordinator, Operations Manager, and Employee Experience Specialist. Her work focuses on building thoughtful, efficient systems that support staff to do their best work and bring their unique value to the organization.

With a background in holistic health, counseling, and social justice, she holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the California Institute of Integral Studies, along with certifications in Western Herbal Medicine and Counseling. Her studies reflect her integrated approach to supporting people and building values-aligned systems. She specializes in employee experience across the full lifecycle—while also supporting hiring, onboarding, logistics, events, operations, and policy.

She brings a passion for youth-focused work, a deep commitment to detail, and a spirit of camaraderie to every project. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in nature, making and sharing good food, playing with her children, and cherishing moments with her family.
