Katy works at the intersection of human-centered design, science, and engineering. She holds a BS in Environmental Engineering and an MS in Environmental Fluid Mechanics from Stanford University, and at YLabs she puts her skills to good use conducting user research, building and testing prototypes, and guiding design strategy. Prior to joining our team, Katy led research campaigns on illegal gold mining in the Peruvian Amazon and co-founding and leading design at award-winning global health organization, Noora Health. Katy was recently featured as one of the “30 Social Entrepreneurs Under 30” by Forbes and awarded the Echoing Green Fellowship.
